Abstract

The paper entitled “The Influences of the European Union upon the Romanian Legal Sovereignty” explores the influence of the complex process of Romania’s accession upon the constitutional bases of the Romanian state. Within this approach we have started from the words of the author Dumitru Mazilu: “The most important feature of the state authority is  sovereignty, which presumes supremacy and foreign independence.” The paper approaches appearances concerning the concepts of statehood, sovereignty practice, legal sovereignty of Romania and the EU influences upon the Romanian law, the constitutional changes incurred by  Romania’s accession to the European structures.
