Premises of Sustainable Development on Rural Communities
Abstract
In this paper the authors want to highlight the opportunity on rural areas and development in terms
of durability. The content of sustainable development offers to local communities real and lasting solutions.
In this sense for a community to be truly sustainable, it must adopt a holistic approach, taking into account
short-term environmental and economic sustainability of natural and cultural resources. The authors believe
that a sustainable community among its objectives to include their major environmental issues, poverty
eradication, improvement of quality of life, developing and maintaining an effective and viable local
economies, leading to a global vision of sustainable development of all sectors of the community.
