Abstract
Through Directive 1999/70/CE, in the EU the Frame-agreement regarding timebound
work was implemented, signed by the inter-professional overall vocational organizations (CES,
UNICEF and CEEP). Through the general consideration in the frame-agreement, the parties
underlined the fact that especially the time-bound work contracts represent the general frame of the
work relations, as they contribute to the quality of the life of the employees and bettering their
performance, but, at the same time, one has to remember that these “time-bound work contacts are a
characteristic of work in some sectors, occupations and activities, which can be convenient both to
workers (employees), and to employers.
