Abstract
The paper’s aim is to describe the possibilities of national accounts extension for a better
comprehension of environmental capital and its depletion.
The first step is to asses the environmental capital elements, using or conserving costs and benefits. The
main highlighted principle is human wellbeing insurance and its sustainability, meaning that the future
generations must benefit of same amount and quality of environmental goods as the present one.
