ROLUL IMAGINII BIBLIOTECILOR ÎN STIMULAREA LECTURII TINERILOR
Abstract
The decline of “Gutenberg civilization” may lead to a specific kind of “semi-illiteration”,
traditional reading losing a lot of its importance in the formative role of the harmonic development of
personality. The library can surpass the situations of crisis through an efficient comunication and, mostly,
through a good image strategy. This image can be reflected upon it self, as an institution, but also to valorize
again the book, as an object and content, and of the lecture, as a personal and public process, in the context of
faster development of IT technologies and the complexity of recapture and usageof information in the virtual
world.
