Lucia Ramona Popa

Abstract

The functioning of the Europen Internal Single Market, that stands in the creation of a space without
frontiers in which it is assured the free circulation of goods , of work- force, of services and capitals, was
possible both due to competition as reguards USA and Japan, but also from political considerations.
By Romania’s integration into the EU the internal market will furnish the latter major benefits: the
encrease of competition between firms, the improvement of competition by the the restructuring of industry and
by a more factors of production, a diversification of goods and services sat competitive prices, the creation of
new working places but also a raised mobility of workers and unemloyed the intensification of cohesion and
convergence among the UE regions. The internal market can sustain Romania to become a country with a
functional economy, capable to determine in its turn the welfare at comunity level.
