ROMÂNIA – TEMERI ŞI PREGĂTIRI PENTRU TRECEREA LA MONEDA EURO
Abstract
The New Member States are going now, after joining the European Union in 2004 (ten of
them) and 2007(Romania and Bulgaria), on a new road, the one of introduction of the European
currency – EURO. As various differences between them, in the economy stage, adoption of EURO will
have different periods in the states who are expecting these. Achieving only the economic conditions is
not the essential, an economic and social environment, favorable to the adoption of EURO is needed
for a success process.
In this paper, we tray to see the stage of adhesion to the Euro, the perception in the new
member states, especially of the fears that are concern of the population and, in the end, a look at the
stage and future actions of our country, hoping to introduce the Euro currency in 2014.
