EMIŢĂTOR. RECEPTOR. TEXT LITERAR
Abstract
The given piece of work „Utterer. Receiver. Literary text”, sets to exemplify/illustrate the fact that
literature is similar to a communication act. The writer, as the author of a message, becomes utterer, and the
code he uses is the artistic language. The reader becomes the receiver of this message through reading, seen as
„a process of revealing the meanings”.
Afterwards we wanted to puzzle out „the message” of the novel „Miss Romania” by Cezar Petrescu,
following several levels of representation: denotation, connotation, myths, symbols.
Literature is, therefore, an artistic process of communication between the creator and the receiver.
