ASPECTE DIPLOMATICE SI JURIDICE PRIVIND REPATRIEREA PRIZONIERILOR ROMÂNI DIN U.R.S.S. PREZENTE IN CADRUL CONVENTIEI DE ARMISTITIU DIN 12 SEPTEMBRIE 1944
Abstract
The Armistice Convention from September 12,1944 will not contain a foresight regarding the status of
Romanian war prisoners from the Soviet Union, precising only the return of allied prisoners captured by the
Romanian Army. The role of the convention will be that one of putting down the coups d’etat from August
23,1944 which have been menacing seriously Kremlin’s intention concerning the future postwar status of
Romania.
The divergences between the Romanian Governement and the Soviet representatives from the Soviet
Comission of Control will emphasize the distrust of both parts in the possibility of solving the problems
engendered by the text of the Armistice Convention.
